Inspired by Rubik's Cube
The genesis of the OMGO was driven by an ambition far exceeding the creation
of "merely another massage gun." Its initial conceptualisation strayed from
the conventional percussive therapy device, taking inspiration from an
unexpected source: the iconic Rubik's Cube. The designers envisioned a product
that was inherently a rotatable, tactile object—a piece of industrial design
that users would be compelled to pick up, manipulate, and interact with.
This core philosophy ensured the OMGO was not simply relegated to a drawer
until a muscle recovery session was imminent. Instead, it was conceived as a
desk accessory, a constant companion that invited "fidgeting" and personalisation.
This deliberate design choice transformed the OMGO from a purely utilitarian
recovery tool into an extension of the user's personality and an object of daily
interaction, fostering a deeper, more continuous connection with the brand,
irrespective of the immediate need for muscular relief. The intent was to
integrate the device seamlessly into the user's daily life, making it desirable
to hold and play with even when thoughts of post-workout recovery were far from
their mind.
